... the winter session.















A few of us recently got together for a day of downhill just outside the village of flash in the Peak District national park. Flash has the accolade of being the highest village in the United Kingdom!! The hill itself is the perfect progression from the now famous hog hill.


The hill itself is around 2km long. Its starts with a 800m long gentle straight.  It moves on to a sweeping right hand turn which only requires a but of air-breaking. From here the road follows about 1.2km of fast straights and long winding curves. The top speed of the day was a comfortable 76kmph!


When we first got there the road was still very damp and there were even patches of ice!! Fortunately it mostly dried up by around mid day though.
